The Wooden Soap Dish is 100% natural and is handmade by Hassan, a carpenter in the Jerash Camp Rehabilitation Centre’s woodworking shop. These beautiful soap dishes are crafted from Pinewood locally sourced in Jordan. What makes these Wooden Soap Dishes special is that each is carved from a single piece of wood without glue or nails.  

The highly moisturizing all-natural soaps, such as our Pure Olive Oil Soap Bar or our Vegan Activated Charcoal Soap, are best kept on soap dishes to preserve the ideal consistency of the soap.

About the Brand

In 2014 Sitti began working with a group of women in Jordan's Jerash "Gaza" Refugee Camp to establish a social enterprise that would educate and provide employment opportunities with fair wages for refugees.  Sitti is a charitable company responsible for offering monetary and in-kind support to several beneficiary programs, such as Hopes for Women in Education (an international NGO), that add to the enterprise's social mission.

The Sitti product line started with a signature square handmade olive oil soap bar and has grown to over ten lifestyle products gaining popularity. Included in these are also curated products that were explicitly made in partnership with ethical brand names.

Care Instructions

Use a mild, all-natural cleaning solution every 2-3 weeks to clean the Wooden Soap Dish to keep it free of mould and mildew.

To extend the life of the soap dishes, we highly recommend using two soap dishes that can be changed out every few weeks to allow them to fully dry naturally and prevent any mould and mildew from growing on them.
